From Holly's post detailing God's attention to detail in the wake of her mother's stroke, this brush handlettering attempts to capture the journey we can all experience when we allow God to carry us as if on the wings of one of the most delicate of creatures.
Give Me Your Heart
Created for Holly's post Feeling Not So Empowered to Empower to Connect, this piece is a reminder to ask Jesus, who is longing to trade His heart for ours. "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."
An interesting thought occured to me on a personal retreat...is not the act of communion the very desire to experience the union we have in Christ? So come union!
In light of the challenges being faced in this world, Hosea 6 spoke out to me. "For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings." What are we going to start doing to follow God's directive? at home and aboroad, opportunity abounds!
Allow yourself to be unraveled
This lyric from @bethelmusic and sung by @jonathanhelser reflects God's words...he sings over us!
I was reading in "Seeking God's Face: Praying with the Bible through the Year" and this verse caught my attention. Everything is His. Everything.
Jesus calls us into union with Himself and His Father. The end result being that we are one heart and mind with the Creator God, maker of all that is. #mindofficiallyblown
Holy Ghost, help me see!
This lyric from @cagelessbirds moves me everytime I hear it. The image of the Spirit of God kissing my eyes to bring a healing that changes how I view things is a game-changer.
Breastplate of St. Patrick
Considering this church father and the amazing walk he had...far beyond a day to celebrate with green beer. May Christ be in and around us!
It is well
This fantastic lyric by Bethel Music and sung by Kristene DiMarco is a powerful reminder of the presence of God to protect and guide, even the presence of Jesus on the stormy sea...
This quote from an African American preacher was shared in our Sunday gathering recently. Be filled with the Spirit!
I just don't know
This was a bit that came to my heart during a particularly tough time. If I don't have the answers…it's ok, because I know the one who does. And that He knows me…well…what can you say to that?
Consider the fact that Christ has chosen to dwell, by His Spirit, in our lowly bodies. Now consider the union and oneness that actually is. Oneness trumps difference every time.
I found this quote from Stephen Smith of the Potter's Inn via a newsletter I subscribe to. It truly resonated in my heart...
The Wind and Waves
A song by Sean Feucht has a special reminder for me today. No matter the storm or the threat—it all remains under Jesus' control and must yield to His presence and power.
Come and worship Christ the newborn king
Inspired by the Bebo Norman Christmas song "Come and Worship," this piece was a bit of a surprise to me this morning! #advent

I am His and He is Mine
A shortened version of the Song of Songs passage.
True freedom is found only in Jesus.
Another quote from Brennan Manning. The torn, broken, lacerated, spit-covered, blodd-drencehd body of Jesus is ONLY A HINT OF THE FATHER'S LOVE. That the Father would pay such an extreme price to have us restored is beyond comprehension…so just believe it!
His relentless pursuit is my rescue.
I wrote this on my 48th birthday as I was considering the pursuit the Father has demonstrated to me in this life. His rescue of my soul has resulted in a deep sense of praise.
Have you thought of the fact that as the bride of Jesus, we are his particular treasure? Yes, we belong to Him, but He belongs to us as well. Let that sink in a bit...
There was a span of time where I had several dreams of drowning…either in a river or the sea. Not being the greatest swimmer anyway, I realized these were the enemy's attempt to discourage me during a particularly challenging time. But God had an answer!
What is religion?
This quote by Brennan Manning called me to consider the true definition of religion. An encounter with the creator of the universe is what is at stake, not stale rituals or rules. I can't think of something more life-giving than that!
For all…thanks and yes.
This quote inspired me as I was considering some challenging times I faced. It is merely the admission that He is controlling all circumstances and I need only agree with thanksgiving the path He has ordained.
